About Us
Our Story
Founded in 2024 by filmmakers of BCIS, the Ginkgo Film Festival was created to ignite a passion for filmmaking among students locally and internationally. Our aim is to inspire individuality and encourage dialogue through the art of film, empowering young voices to share their unique perspectives. As we proudly honor BCIS’s 20-year legacy, GFF serves as a space where every young filmmaker—regardless of background—can shine and contribute to global conversations.

Behind our Symbol
The ginkgo tree, a symbol of hope and resilience, mirrors both BCIS and the spirit of our festival. Just as the ginkgo thrives and endures through time, BCIS has grown and evolved over 20 remarkable years, continuously inspiring a community of innovative thinkers. At GFF2025, this symbol serves as a reminder that every story, like every leaf on a ginkgo tree, contributes to a collective future rooted in diversity and creativity.
